Davido Seeks FG’s Accountability For N19bn Coronavirus Donation
Afro pop star, Davido has charged Nigerians to seek the accountability of donations made so far to the Federal Government to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Taking to Instagram to share the accrued donations from individuals and organisations, Davido whose billionaire father, Deji Adeleke also donated N500 million, maintained that the government must make good use of the donated funds.

Recall that on Friday, April 3, 2020, contributions to the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to raise funds to combat coronavirus hit N19.488 billion.
A breakdown of the contributions showed that the CBN and African richest man, Aliko Dangote, donated N2 billion each.
Similarly, Abdul Samad Rabiu (Bua Sugar Refinery); Segun Agbaje (GTB); Tony Elumelu (UBA); Oba Otudeko (First Bank); Jim Ovia (Zenith Bank); Herbert Wigwe (Access Bank) and Femi Otedola of Amperion Power Distribution also donated N1 billion each to the relief fund.
Pacific Holding Ltd, Union Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Citi Bank Nigeria Ltd, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, ECOBank, African Steel Mills and Multichoice Nigeria Limited, have also contributed.
Other donors include -Pacific Holding Ltd, Union Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Citi Bank Nigeria Ltd, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, ECOBank, African Steel Mills and Multichoice Nigeria Limited, FSDH Merchant Bank, FBN Merchant Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, Coronation Merchant Bank, Sun Trust Bank, Providus Bank, Wema Bank, Unity Bank, Heritage Bank, Nova Merchant Bank, Polaris Bank, and Keystone Bank, Globus Bank, Titan Trust Bank, Takagro Chemicals Ltd, Ahmadu Mahmoud, and Handy Capital Ltd.
EELive understands that many Nigerians, and corporate bodies have since been donating funds to the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration since Nigeria recorded her first case in late February.
Unarguably, the donations are believed will help the government to quickly combat the virus, and restore normalcy in the Nigerian society.
