Cuba Gooding Jr. pleads guilty to sexual harassment charge

American actor, Cuba Gooding Jr. had pleaded guilty to one count of forcibly touching a woman at a New York City rooftop bar back in 2018.

This is coming three years after being arrested and accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.

The 54 year old actor admitted to kissing a waitress on her lips without her consent. The plea deal is for no jail time. Additionally, he can instead plead guilty to harassment at a lower level than misdemeanor. This is under the condition that he attends six months counselling.

The Oscar winner apologized for the incident stating, “I apologize for ever making anybody feel inappropriately touched.”

This is coming after Gooding turned himself in to the New York Police Department. Following allegations that he groped a woman at a rooftop bar in Manhattan in 2019. According to the woman, Gooding was “highly intoxicated” at the time of the incident and groped her breasts at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge.

Months later, two more accusations came out. The actor pleaded guilty to one of them.

Following this, in 2020 Gooding was accused of raping a woman twice in 2013 inside his New York City hotel room. However, he has denied the claims and the case is ongoing.
