Veteran Nigerian movie actress Chinyere Wilfred has weighed in on the trending discussion about actors and movie producers who choose to dance to promote their movies.
The conversation started days ago when renowned moviemaker and second-generation actor Kunle Afolayan criticised the concept of dancing as a tool to promote movies.
Afolayan’s statement has raised various reactions from his colleagues in the movie industry and caused a division among Nollywood fans on social media.

Notable celebrities such as Funke Akindele and Iyabo Ojo, among several others, have also reacted to the controversial statement. Joining the elongating list of thespians who have reacted to the statement is veteran Nigerian movie actor, Chinyere Wilfred.
Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a video of herself dancing and admonished others not to dance to promote their movies.

Earlier, eelive.ng reported that Omotola had weighed in on the growing trend of actors being expected to dance on social media to promote their movies. She revealed that she wouldn’t be dancing to market or promote her movies, describing such behaviour as unprofessional, noting how she has done a quality movie and needs to promote it.
