Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, revealing that the project will arrive on 31 July, a date that also marks the 15th anniversary of his music career.
The award-winning singer shared the exciting news with fans in a post on his social media pages on Monday, sparking anticipation among music lovers eager to hear his next body of work.
The album title, ORIADÉ, is derived from two Yoruba words – ori, meaning “head” or “destiny”, and adé, meaning “crown”.
According to Davido, the project reflects a season of gratitude and personal reflection, capturing his journey, growth and the fulfilment of his purpose over the years.
Although the singer has yet to unveil the full tracklist or reveal the artistes featured on the album, excitement continues to build following the release of its lead single, I Know Who I Be, which dropped on 26 June.

ORIADÉ will serve as the follow-up to Davido’s 2025 album, 5ive, further expanding a catalogue that has cemented his place as one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
He wrote in the captioned video: “ORIADÉ 31st JULY. The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne. Pre-order my new album now.”

Born David Adeleke, Davido shot to fame in 2012 with the release of Dami Duro, the breakout hit from his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has consistently delivered chart-topping projects, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023) and 5ive (2025).
With the announcement of ORIADÉ, fans are eagerly counting down to what is expected to be another milestone project in the singer’s celebrated career.
