Davido receives 121 million naira in 24 hours

Nigerian musician, Davido Adeleke has made a total amount of 121, 178,787 naira from cash gifts given to him by friends, fans and loved ones. This is following a post the artiste made on Twitter asking his friends to donate one million naira each ahead of his 29th birthday.

Davido the proceeded to paste the details of his newly opened account on his verified Twitter handle. He said, 

“if you know I’ve given you a hit song, send me money… una know una selves ooo. 

The top musician revealed that he recieved N7 million in 10 minutes after the open request. He also mentioned that his aim is to reach a 100 million naira so he can clear his rolls royce from the port.

Many celebrities have proceeded to take on his challenge and have sent him one million.  Davido showcased different credit alerts from celebrities via his Instagram story. Celebrities like zlatan ibile, E-money, Chike, Adekunle gold, Patoranking, Obi Cubana, Nengi and many others have sent the star money. Seyi Tinubu even went above the request and sent 2 million naira to the star. While Ikorodu Bois sent 5,000 naira to the star, who acknowledged it stating that “it’s the thought that counts.”. Fans have proceeded to send him different amounts of money 

Although many have criticized the musician for this act, others believe that since he always tries to reach out to people monetarily, he deserves all the money he is getting. 

The challenge is still on, however and many others are still expected to send in more money.
