Nigerian Afrobeats megastar Davido is on the verge of etching another historic moment into his career by becoming the first Afrobeats artist ever to headline an arena in Spain.
Scheduled for Sunday, April 5, 2026, Davido will take over the iconic Olímpic Arena Badalona, a 13,000-capacity venue in Barcelona’s metropolitan area built for the 1992 Olympics and famed for hosting the legendary “Dream Team.”
Local outlet Badalona Comunicació confirmed the gig, highlighting Davido’s status as a genre leader and noting this as his sole Spanish date on the tour.

This performance is part of his ongoing 5IVE ALIVE World Tour, following the release of his fifth studio album 5IVE in April 2025. Promoted by Afrobrunch, the show is billed as the singer’s debut in Barcelona and his only Spanish stop on the European leg, which also includes stops in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Vienna and Zürich.
Social media is buzzing with excitement as his fans are tagging and celebrating him as the trailblazer bringing Afrobeats to one of Europe’s most prestigious arenas.
This milestone adds to Davido’s string of groundbreaking achievements like his sood-out shows at London’s O2 Arena, Madison Square Garden, and now, a historic headline at Olímpic Arena Badalona.
