Popular Nigerian singer Davido has unfollowed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram.
This happened shortly after social media critic, VeryDarkMan, shared a leaked WhatsApp conversation where Iyabo Ojo accused Davido of using late singer Mohbad’s case to gain attention.
In the chat posted on Instagram, Iyabo Ojo was said to have criticised Davido for not unfollowing Naira Marley, even after publicly showing support for Mohbad. She claimed Davido’s actions were not genuine.

She said, “My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed, and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Just fake love 001.”
Following the leaked message, Davido appears to have unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on Instagram. However, checks by eelive.ng show that Iyabo Ojo is still following Davido.
Mohbad, a young Nigerian singer, died in September 2023 under unclear circumstances. His death sparked protests across the country, as fans and celebrities demanded justice.
Many stars, including Davido, Falz, and Zlatan, took part in a candlelight procession held in Mohbad’s honour.
Iyabo Ojo played a leading role in the “Justice for Mohbad” movement. She also reportedly created a WhatsApp group to organise supporters of the campaign.
However, a few months ago, she revealed in an interview that she regrets pushing for Mohbad’s body to be exhumed for further investigation.
