Davido’s Aide Tenders Public Apology To DJ Cuppy
Isreal Afeare, an aide to music-star Davido has tendered a public apology to DJ Cuppy, over his libellous statements against her.
The billionaire’s daughter, whose real name is Florence Otedola, had earlier threatened to sue Afeare; for claiming she didn’t pay Zlatan after their collaboration.
Owing to her promise of dragging him to court, Cuppy through her lawyers, Babajide Koku & Co., wrote the former, demanding he makes a public apology within seven days.
“We, therefore, write to demand that you immediately cease and desist from all libellous and defamatory statements of our Client, her business and her brand,” the letter read.
“Furthermore, we demand that within seven days of receipt of this letter; (i) You write a letter to be shared with the public containing a suitable withdrawal and apology in terms to be approved by us on our Clients behalf. (ii) You provide us with your full assurance and an undertaking in writing that you will cease and desist from repeating the publication of those or similar allegation concerning our client.”
Within a few hours of being served, Isreal Afeare has tendered a public apology to Cuppy; for spreading false and libellous statement.
In his apology video, Afeare retracted his statement and admitted that he made a false narration of the fued between the DJ and Zlatan; based on the rumours he had heard.
He sought Cuppy‘s forgiveness and asked that they continue the good relationship they once had.
