A teenage girl known as Anu Adeleke with the full name Mitchelle Anuoluwapo Adeleke, has made an emotional public appeal to Afrobeats superstar Davido David Adeleke, respectfully requesting a DNA test to confirm if he is her biological father.
In a heartfelt social media post that quickly went viral today, the young girl opened up about enduring years of bullying, identity confusion, and mental health challenges as she approaches adolescence. “As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Davido for a DNA test to establish my identity,” she wrote.
She described the request as a personal need for the truth to find peace, stressing that it is not meant as confrontation but as a step toward clarity.
The plea has reignited a paternity controversy dating back to 2017-2018, when Anu’s mother, Ayotomide (Ayo) Labinjo, first alleged that the child resulted from a brief 2013 encounter with Davido in Ibadan. The singer however, has long denied being the father.
Davido’s camp, including former lawyer Prince Bobo Ajudua, has maintained that two DNA tests were conducted years ago at reputable clinics, one reportedly selected by the mother’s side and both concluding Davido is not the biological father. Ajudua reiterated this position in early 2025 amid similar viral content from Anu.
However, Ayotomide strongly disputed this, claiming only one test took place in 2014 at a small clinic not a hospital, where she alleges she witnessed bribery between Davido and the doctor leading to manipulated results.
