Israel Afeare, who is better known as Israel DMW, the logistics manager of Nigerian musician Davido, has made a snide remark about singer Wizkid after he declared himself ‘001’.
Earlier, eelive.ng reported that Wizkid had, in a post on his Instagram story, declared himself ‘001’ of the Nigerian music industry.
His declaration came amid the Afrobeat supremacy tussle between Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido.
The debate, which has been questioned by singer Tiwa Savage, labeled Davido as ‘001’ and Burna Boy as ‘002’.
However, reacting to Wizkid’s declaration in the comment section of a viral post, Israel DMW made fun of the singer for having a hit song.
“Na by mouth? Drop gbedus shit”, Israel wrote.
The Big 3 Conundrum
In a previous interview, Nigerian recording artiste, Olamide Adedeji who is better known as Baddoo, spoke about the biggest 3 artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
Baddo stated that the musicians, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who are often entangled in the Big 3 conversation, are his friends but are “just too troublesome.”
He noted that they are “cool dudes” but don’t align on certain things.
“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my friends, but they are just too troublesome. They are cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things, and that’s fine,” he stated.
