Nigerian recording artiste and music producer, Young John, has mentioned that his colleague, Davido’s wealth, intimidates him.
The ‘Go Hard Or Go Home’ crooner revealed this while responding to a question during a sideline interview at the Paris Fashion Week in France.
He explained that OBO’s success also inspires him to work harder.

Interviewer: “Ever met someone who made you feel broke?”
Young John: “Too many times, bro. Davido. Whenever I see his money, I’m like, I need to work hard and drop more songs.”
In 2024, Young John revealed that he never planned on becoming an artist, explaining that he became a singer by accident.
John Saviours Udomboso, known professionally as Young Jonn, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, currently signed to Chocolate City Music. He is also known for his hit singles Dada and the remix with Davido.
Young John started his career as a producer with Olamide’s YBNL Nation and produced multiple hit songs for Lil Kesh, Olamide himself, and other artists on the label.
The foremost Nigerian music producer had music production credits on industry hits during the 2010s and was affiliated with the YBNL mafia family going on to be ranked in The NET’s list of “Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers” and went on to be nominated in the “Producer of The Year” at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and The Headies 2015.
