Nigerian businessman, Isaac Fayose berated Sophia Momodu, the mother of Imade Adeleke, for bringing up Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, during the custody dispute.
As earlier reported by eelive.ng, Davido, had announced his decision to drop the ongoing legal battle for joint custody of his daughter, Imade Adeleke, following a heated exchange in court that he described as crossing an unacceptable line.
Davido posted a statement on X late Friday, responding to rumors and celebrations about the case. He clarified important details and explained why he decided to withdraw.

“I never asked for full custody … I asked for joint custody,” he wrote in his post. He emphasized that “nobody won, nobody lost but Imade,” and questioned why anyone would celebrate what he called a no-win situation for his daughter. “There’s nothing to celebrate.”
Davido said the turning point came during cross-examination on February 12 at the High Court in Yaba, Lagos.
He explained that he was responding well to the opposing lawyer until she mentioned his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who drowned in 2022. “When I was spanking that lawyer in the courtroom … I was finishing her … until she brought out her last card! MY DECEASED SON! THAT’S A NO NO! Lowest blow!” he stated.

Davido called the mention of his son the “lowest blow” and said it was an unacceptable tactic, which led him to withdraw from the case.
In response, Fayose called Sophia Momodu a wicked person and said he was glad Davido did not marry her.
He also said that if Davido had married Momodu, she might have ruined his life and career.

In his words: “She is one of the most toxic mothers anyone could have. How can you go to court and use Davido’s late son against him? You are wicked. Some fathers do not care for their children, but Davido gives Imade everything. Davido, I am glad you did not marry Sophia. She would have ruined your life and career.
“Now I understand why no man has married her. Even though you are older than David, you thought having his child would keep him. I advise the Adeleke family to ignore her and let her have Imade. When Imade is older, she will return home. Who would know you if not for Davido?”
