Days after the death of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, a wave of allegations, denials and unanswered questions has been surfacing leaving many Nigerians seeking clarity over what happened before her death.
Osoba died on August 5, 2026, at the age of 39. Her death came after a widely documented battle with breast cancer, although her family has reportedly rejected claims that cancer caused her death and urged the public to disregard unauthorised reports.
Questions intensified after her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, reportedly claimed that Osoba died inside a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. The claim has not been independently verified and differs from earlier reports surrounding the circumstances of her death.

Attention has also returned to allegations the actress reportedly made before her demise. Osoba was said to have accused a church worker identified as Pelumi of rape. Pelumi denied the allegation and reportedly claimed that she made the accusation while under the influence of drugs.
Another allegation involved a man identified as James, whom Osoba reportedly accused of giving her poisoned water at a church. He has also denied wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, actor Kunle Afod visited the actress’ family following her death and subsequently shared details from the visit, adding another layer to the growing public interest in the case.
With conflicting accounts and several disputed claims surrounding Osoba’s final days, questions remain over what truly happened to the actress before her death.
The actress is set to be laid to rest on the 13th of August, 2026.
