“Delay is Not Denial” – Davido After Adeleke’s Unfavourable Court Ruling
On the aftermath of the Court of Appeal’s ruling upholding Gboyega Oyetola as the governor of Osun State, popular musician Davido has come out to encourage the supporters of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke to remain calm.
He made this appeal on his Instagram on Thursday, in a text post that was accompanied by the caption, “Delay is not Denial. Imole De”.
The 26-year-old musician also promised his followers that the case will be taken up at the Supreme Court.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had ruled in favour of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun 2018 governorship election.
Senator Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had previously come out victorious in the election petition tribunal.
Justice Jummai Sankey, in her lead judgement on Thursday, ruled that the entire proceeding of the tribunal was of “faulty composition”. Four out of the five-man panel upheld the judgement.
