Depression Made Youth Support Naira Marley– Koffi

Comedian cum Actor, Koffi, has said that it was depression that made some Nigerian youths support Naira Marley during his case with EFCC.

Koffi said this recently at a memorial lecture in honour of Late Reggae Legend, Ras Kimono organised by the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) on Monday. In a video  report by QEDtv, the comic was seen to have said that no sane person would have supported the alleged actions of musician, Naira Marley, albeit the rising case of depression amongst Nigerian youth today.

“A lot of the youths are so depressed that the only place they find solace is in that activity the boy (Naira Marley) was talking about. Within 24 hours of Naira Marley’s arrest, it was as though they (people) were canvassing for (Nelson) Mandela,” the comedian shared.

“The music being made today is to conquer depression, there’s a difference. A lot of people listen to music today just to dance without appreciating the spiritual essence of music,” Koffi added, commenting on the appalling decrease of spiritual Reggae Music today.

It looks like you’ve misspelled the word “foriegn” on your website. I thought you would like to know :). Silly mistakes can ruin your site’s credibility. I’ve used a tool called SpellScan.com in the past to keep mistakes off of my website.
