It’s a Destiny’s Child reunion! Michelle Williams shares intimate conversations with Beyonce, Kelly Rowland
A Destiny’s Child reunion but not the way you think.
On Wednesday, May 26, Michelle Williams took to Instagram to share bits of a call with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.
Williams, now a writer shared this glimpse into the friendship of her former group members to celebrate the release of her new book titled ‘Checking In‘.
The book documents her mental journey so far and during the conversation, Michelle spoke about her journey.
“Look who checked in yesterday with me!! The only time we’ll let y’all eavesdrop on our group chats!!” Michelle Williams wrote on her Instagram.

“Oh, we love and miss you so much,” Beyoncé says in the recording.
“We’re so proud of you, Mimi! You are so inspirational for both of us — and we just love watching you become exactly who you are and the world [to] see your impact, wisdom, and beautiful advice.” She also adds.
In another clip, we can hear the former members of Destiny’s child joke as Kelly Rowland says she’s making soup.
This second clip was posted with the caption “Checking In Group Chat. Everybody’s in the ‘kitchen!“. The cover art also featured a picture of all three women posing with Kelly Rowland’s newborn son Noah Jon.
In a third audio clip, Rowland also asks Williams what she hoped the world would gain from her new book.
“It’s okay to not be okay. and it’s okay to tell somebody you’re not okay. I honestly should have done that with y’all. I’ve been open about a lot of things but I was never really truthful about how I really was. Even though y’all have proven to be safe friends, safe sisters, sometimes people have to know you’re not going to be looked at differently if you say, ‘Y’all, I’ve been really sad too long. Something’s going on.” Williams replied.
Destiny’s Child announced they’ll be separating back in June 2005, with all three women going on to continue solo careers. However, they reunited to perform during Beyoncé’s 2013 Super Bowl performance and also during her headline performance at Coachella in 2018.
