Did BBNaija’s Mercy and Ike Break Up?
The finale of Nigeria’s most-watched reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, saw the Mercy declaring her love for fellow housemate Ike. But now the Pepper Dem power couple seem to have parted ways.
Mercy, the winner of BBNaija’s last season, made it known that she is single and not searching. The reality TV star shared this via her Snapchat page on Tuesday, December 31st, 2019.
In a short but direct post, the beautiful reality star announced that she is now a single lady. She also stated that she has no interest in pursuing a relationship.
“Single not searching,” she wrote.
This comes days after the former couple unfollowed each other on Instagram.
We haven’t figured out what happened to the on-screen couple that millions of Nigerians were rooting for.
The highs and lows of #MerIke’s relationship was for many, the highlight of the BBNaija TV show. A lot of people were convinced that the relationship was a ploy to engage fans and get votes.
But by the end of the show, fans were convinced their relationship, like many other BBNaija housemate lovebirds, would lead to marriage.
And now, it’s all over. There’s no more Mercy and Ike; no more Igbo love. It just makes you wonder if it actually was a ploy and fans were right from the beginning; or if their seemingly passionate love just ran its course.
