Dimma Umeh Features Chigul In Igbo Makeup Session
Popular Nigerian YouTuber Dimma Umeh just dropped the most iconic makeup video of the year featuring comedian and actress Chigul. The Igbo lifestyle blogger released the video today and the best part of it is that it is entirely in Igbo!
In the video, the two Igbo queens talk about their favourite makeup artists, while Dimma gives a mini tutorial. The conversation and chemistry between Dimma Umeh and Chigul are hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.
During the video, Chigul revealed herself to be a polyglot. Apparently, the comedian speaks five languages; Igbo, Hausa, English, French, and Spanish! The most intriguing part of it is that she is self-taught.
There has been a bit of a conversation going on about language since the Lionheart-Oscars fiasco. But it is nice to watch these two talk about language; in a fun, care-free, and non-political manner.
Dimma and Chigul also addressed social media haters. Chigul has had a lot of people coming for her looks online. To that, she says in Igbo that they are “bitter leaf farmers” and “keyboard warriors”.
Dimma then asked Chigul what her spec for guys is and she said, “My spec is alive”. The pair complained about the shallow dating pool and being approached by married men.
Then the topic shifted to the unequal distribution of shame between the genders. They expressed their anger at how men were praised for bad behaviour and how women were expected to pay for it.
