Veteran DJ Big N has released a powerful 15-slide open letter calling on Afrobeats’ biggest stars Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy, to put egos aside and prioritise the culture.
In the post on his Instagram, the DJ, who has spent 18 years behind the decks and played all three artistes across four continents, declared: “No sides. No shade.”

Using a striking analogy, Big N wrote that just as Gotham needed Batman, Metropolis needed Superman and Wakanda needed Black Panther, “Afrobeats needs its giants.”

He stressed he is not an outsider: “I’ve made music with you… I’ve interacted with you as human beings not merely as superstars.” As an industry OG, he said he is not afraid to speak his mind.

The heart of the letter is a simple invitation:
“Come to the table. Even if it’s just once. No cameras. No managers. No fan bases. No Twitter. No Instagram. No blogs. Just three African men who changed African music, sitting in a room and talking.”

Big N emphasised that reconciliation does not mean becoming friends again. It means mutual respect without destroying one another. He reminded them that the hardest thing for a man to conquer is himself; his pride, anger, ego and history.
He closed with a strong call: “Three kings don’t have to destroy each other for every crown to shine. There is enough sky for every star… Sit down. Talk. Listen. Make music. The culture needs its giants.”
The post has already drawn massive engagement, with many praising the mature and timely message.
