Don’t be Beyonce or Rihanna, Be your Kind of Beauty -– Bayray McNwizu

We all need to shine as bright as we can in our own unique way, as it’s not possible to for there to be too much light in this world, except to shine and let shine.

This was actress, Eberechukwu  Nwizu aka Bayray McNwizu’s piece of advice to fellow practitioners in the movie industries and also to young Nigerian girls.

In an interview with Nigerian Tribune, Bayray as fondly called by friends, when asked about what the motivation behind her foundation GALT (Girls Achieveing and Leading Together) was, she said it was just to promote healthy competition and association among young Nigeria girls.

According to the actress, she relayed how unfriendly rivalry and begrudging ruin union; causing separation among young girls who started off as best friends

“You will notice when girls are still young and are babies, they are best of friends and do mostly everything together, but when they start growing up and become mature, they start comparing themselves to each other.”

“So I want to tell young girls out there; you don’t have to be Beyonce or Rihanna you can be your own kind of brand or beauty.”

Nwizu advises fellow actors

Nwizu didn’t exclude the movie industry in her discussion; she said unhealthy competition is also playing out there.

“There’s definitely rivalry in the movie industry. There’s no need of being jealous of another person, envying and backbiting, instead why don’t you just put the energy into promoting your own craft”

Nwizu further emphasized that there’s never a need people worry someone will outshine them, it’s not a completion, she said. “You don’t need to be that person, you just build your craft and improve on yourself too.”

Talking about marriage, she said, “well, I’m currently not married yet, and that is all I can say about it”. However she declared she could never give up on love, as it’s the greatest thing ever.

On why her latest movie Ask Gina is so important to her she said it contains elements of everyday life. “Although, it’s a fun-fun film,” she said. It has Kunle Remi, Kenneth Okoye, Chinonso Yong and so on.
