Drake and Travis Scott Producer Tay Keith Passes Away at 29

American music producer Tay Keith, whose real name is Brytavious Chambers, has died at the age of 29.

The hitmaker, known for producing songs for Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Beyoncé, and several other top artists, was found dead in his Nashville apartment on Thursday during a welfare check conducted by police.

In a statement, the Metro Nashville Police Department said no foul play is suspected in the incident. Authorities disclosed that Keith was discovered in his Martin Street apartment, while the cause of death remains unknown pending the outcome of an autopsy.

Tay Keith rose to prominence in 2018 after producing Drake and BlocBoy JB’s hit single “Look Alive.” He later co-produced Travis Scott’s chart-topping track “Sicko Mode,” which earned a Grammy nomination.

Over the years, he worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, building a reputation as one of hip-hop’s most influential producers.

Brytavious Lakeith Chambers was born on September 20, 1996. He is known professionally as Tay Keith was an American record producer.

He was best known for having co-produced Travis Scott’s 2018 single “Sicko Mode”, which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100, as well as Drake’s “Nonstop”, BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive”, and Eminem’s “Not Alike” which peaked at numbers two, five, and twenty-four on the chart, respectively. His 2023 single “Pound Town 2” (with Sexyy Red, featuring Nicki Minaj) marked his first entry on the chart as a lead artist.
