An X user, identified as ThatOjoBoy, has cried out over the increasing rate of women going under the knife for Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in Lekki, an area of Lagos State.
According to the X user, via the microblogging platform on Wednesday, the number of women with enhanced butt have increased at an alarming rate.
Sharing a video of a lady with her Vivaporous behind, he wrote: “The  number of BBL enhanced ladies in Lekki, Lagos is really on the rise.. This yansh sef don too much.”

The X user’s alarm comes weeks after the tragic death of Elena Jessica, a Nigerian lady who went under the knife and died from complications following the botched BBL procedure.
The deceased, Elena Jessica, was a young Nigerian socialite who underwent her second BBL at Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Ikoyi, Lagos, around early February 2026.
Post-surgery, she developed severe complications, including infection, abdominal pain, and sepsis, leading to multiple emergency operations.

Her sister publicly mourned, alleging abandonment by the clinic during critical aftercare, sparking calls for justice and renewed warnings about BBL dangers from figures like Aproko Doctor.
Meanwhile, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has blamed men’s constant body-shaming of women as a major factor pushing many into undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.
The actress highlighted what she described as men’s hypocrisy in body positivity debates.

She pointed out that the same men who previously bullied, mocked, and pressured women over their natural bodies, often leading to deep insecurities, are now preaching that women should “love themselves the way they are.”
According to Nkechi Blessing, this relentless online and offline criticism creates huge pressure, making cosmetic enhancements like BBL seem like the only way for women to meet societal beauty standards and gain acceptance.
She noted that while individuals have the right to make choices about their bodies, the root cause of many such decisions lies in external shaming rather than purely personal desire.
The actress shared that she personally faced bullying for her natural figure, including comments about her stomach, but clarified she would only consider surgery for health-related reasons, such as weight loss, not for enhancement like BBL.
