Eedris Abdulkareem releases new track dissing Festus Keyamo

Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has released a new diss track titled “JAGA JAGA OTI GET E…”. The veteran ‘activist’ is known for using music to call for change. The hook of the song by Abdulkareem explicitly refers to the lawyer/human rights activist-turned-politician, Festus Keyamo.

Keyamo don dey kolomo (kolomo), Keyamo don dey shamanya (shamanya). Keyamo don dey tranga (tranga), Keyamo don dey jagaran (jagaran),” Abdulkareem sings. The song, which was uploaded on his YouTube channel on April 30, now has over 6,200 views.

Abdulkareem leaves a statement in the caption of the video. A part of it reads:

“A pre-planned character assassination plot was hatched in a very devious and unrelenting fashion against me last week by Festus Keyamo whom I asked for help in a time of great need, someone whom I hitherto thought should have known better, but whose hatred for the truth and truth seekers drove him and his outrageously extended, venom coated hideous fangs overboard.”

The rapper and the current Minister and Senior Advocate of Nigeria have had long-standing issues. Keyamo had taken to Twitter last month to lay some interesting claims. His tweets were in response to another song Eedris released titled, Jaga Jaga reloaded.

In that song, however, Abdulkareem had accused Keyamo of dining with “cabals“. Keyamo then responded by sharing screenshots of old conversations he had with the rapper. Twitter has since removed the tweets containing the screenshots. The social networking site flagged it for violating its rules.

Recall that, in a live interview on Instagram in May last year, Abdulkareem had accused Keyamo of being a “fake activist who shuts up after taking money”. The conversation had happened during the peak of the pandemic in an interview with music producer and singer, Samklef.

However, Festus Keyamo is currently the Minister of State, Labour and Employment in Nigeria. He was also a former Minister of State, Niger-Delta Affairs.
