
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a statement to debunk a viral statement declaring the arrest of the foremost Nigerian comedian and content creator, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, who is better known as Sabinus.
In the viral statement that contained the EFCC letterhead, the organisation was allegedly looking for the content creator for involvement in fraudulent activities.

The statement reads, “Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ijekwu.
“The public is hereby notified that Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, who appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of obtaining Money by false pretense.”
The statement reads further, “Ekuma, 43, is an indigene of Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and his last known address is: 13/14 Ligali Ayomide Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.”

Reacting to the viral statement on Facebook, EFCC via their official social media page debunked the allegation. EFCC wrote, “Clout chaser, stop this now!”
