Elon Musk set to host Saturday Night Live tonight
Today will be remembered in the history of one of America’s longest-running live comedy shows, Saturday Night Live, SNL. One of the richest men in the world, Elon Musk will be hosting today’s version of the show.
Musk is an American billionaire entrepreneur. He is the founder of electric car company, Tesla and aerospace company, SpaceX. Known for stirring up controversy, fans are not sure what to expect from the show.
Although this is not a first for SNL. The show which has been running since the 80s usually features hosts from the entertainment sphere. However, it has also had some popular people from politics and business.
When it comes to controversial figures, SNL has been on top of things. In 2015, they featured former American president, Donald Trump. At the time, he was only still a presidential candidate.
Viewers are thereby unsure of what to expect from this episode. Musk in a recent tweet writes, “Let’s find out how live Saturday Night Live really is.” Known for being vocal on the bird app, Musk adds; “Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?”
In the past, Musk has appeared in TV shows like The Big Bang Theory, and the animated series, Rick and Morty. Musk was also recently hosted in a room on the new social networking app, Clubhouse. The eventful night had fans overflowing rooms created to listen in to him.

Musk’s appearance on SNL also means more money for investors. His company, Tesla’s stocks have increased since the new buzz over his appearance on the show. Also, a cryptocurrency attached to him, Dogecoin has also risen significantly and is continuing to rise.
The show is set to air on America broadcast channel NBC tonight. Although, or will air at 8:30 pm US Pacific time, Nigerians who want to catch it live will have to stay up till 4 am tomorrow, Sunday. Miley Cyrus will also headline the show tonight.
