Eniola Ajao, the Nollywood actress, has responded to speculations linking her romantically with popular actor, Odunlade Adekola.
The actress has come under public criticism in recent days after a video surfaced from the burial ceremony of Odunlade Adekola’s father in Ekiti State, showing her avoiding the camera. The incident triggered renewed conversations around long-standing rumours of a relationship between the two movie stars.

For several years, Ajao has been repeatedly linked with Adekola, with fans and industry observers speculating about their closeness. The actress, however, has consistently denied such claims.
Speaking on Wednesday through a series of posts on her Instagram story, Ajao described the allegations as attempts to damage her reputation. She noted that it was impossible to respond to every story circulated about her.
In her words, “You can’t fix every lie and rumour, nor can you defend yourself every time. Just be great. People may destroy your image, stain your personality, but they can’t take away your good deeds because no matter how they describe you, you will still be admired by those who know you better.”
The actress further explained that she has chosen not to engage in constant denials or clarifications, stressing that “life hits differently when you stop to prove you didn’t do that, or you are not like that.”
Her reaction comes after several social media users questioned her behaviour at the burial, with many suggesting that she was trying to avoid fuelling more rumours about her relationship with Adekola.
Meanwhile, Odunlade Adekola, who is one of the most prominent actors in the Yoruba movie industry, has not issued any comment regarding the renewed speculation.
