‘Use me as a project’ – Eniola Badmus to weight loss brands

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus challenged sellers of weight loss products to use her as a project to test if their products actually work. The plus-size actress is making herself a willing tester of the weight loss products; because she says that the sellers need to stop deceiving the public.

In an Instagram post made on Monday, the screen star wrote:

“If truely your weight loss pills and food works, use Eniola Badmus as a project. Work on me and let the world see the progress. Stop using people we know as slim people to advertise weight-loss food, pills, etc.”

Several celebrities have been known to market weight loss products on their social media pages. It is likely that Badmus’ post is aimed at her fellow celebrities or simply a way of putting an end to scam products.

Weight loss products have gained a lot of traction over the years; this is in spite of damning evidence of their ineffectiveness and health risks.

Health experts have linked weight loss pills and smoothies to heart disease, constipation, reduced nutrient absorption, and mood swings among others.

Despite all these, celebrities never fail to sign endorsement deals with weight loss brands, paying no mind to the harmful effects it has on their fans who look up to them and wrongfully trust their judgment.

Eniola Badmus, however, is not like the other celebrities who only care about the figures on the bottom line. More celebrities should check the legitimacy of the products they represent; not be complicit in ripping off their fans.
