Over the weekend, celebrity designer and businesswoman Toyin Lawani threw the event of the season with her wedding to Segun Wealth.

1. The groom wore a mask
On getting the first look at the pictures from the traditional wedding, Nigerians joked that Lawani was getting married to famous masked singer Lagbaja. While there was no explanation for this COVID-conscious fashion choice, the bride and groom wore glamorous matching outfits as expected.
2. It was a star-studded event
The wedding ceremony was attended by celebrities such as Sir Shina Peters, Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Anita Joseph, Mc Fish, Denrele Edun, Bovi, and others.
3. Everyone wore black
The dress code for the wedding was all black, which many Nigerians on social media called “occultic”!

5. Pretty Mike and his baby mamas
One of the highlights of the wedding was the entrance of socialite and club owner, Pretty Mike, with six women in matching black outfits, who were all pushing baby strollers!
Toyin Lawani and Segun Wealth announced their engagement on Valentine’s day this year; despite rumours that he had abandoned his wife and two kids for her. Last week, the couple shared their pre-wedding photos and their hashtag #TheArtistAndHisMuse. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, June 12.
