American awards show The People’s Choice Awards is set to hold on Tuesday , December 7 in Santa Monica, California.

It is the only awards show completely voted on by fans. With 40 different categories ranging from TV and movies to music and pop culture, the award show is definitely something to look forward to.

The show will be hosted by Saturday Night Live star, Kenan Thompson. The comedy actor also received his first-ever PCAs nominations this year. He is also up for the Comedy TV Star and the Male TV Star categories. Sharing his excitement about joining the show, he said ,

“I can’t believe I get to host the PCAs! I’m beyond blessed to be nominated twice and part of two more nominations for SNL. Good times indeed. Congrats to all the nominees — we already won!”

He also revealed why he’s excited to see Halle Berry accept the People’s Icon Award during the show. The Kenan and Kel alum said,

“I think it’s going to be Halle Berry’s night. It’s such an iconic award that she’s winning, and it’s being presented by Cardi B, so that’s a lot of high energy already.”

Dwayne Johnson will also be receiving the award of the 2021 People’s Champion.
Christina Aguilera is making People’s Choice Awards history with her Music Icon Award win, as this is the first time the award will be given out.)

Kim Kardashian will also be honored during the event as 2021’s Fashion Icon Award.

In the regular categories, Justin Bieber is the holder of the most nominations with 10 nominations. Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh each earned six nominations. Other people that nominated this year are movie stars, Eddie Murphy and Emma Stone and TV actors Sterling K. Brown, Jason Sudeikis and Angela Bassett. In the Music category, BTS, Adele and Lil Nas X all have nods as do pop culture figures Addison Rae, Kylie Jenner and Charli D’Amelio.

Some of the A list presenters include rapper, Cardi B and actress, Lili Reinhart. While H.E.R. Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera will be performing at the event.
