Falz, Mr Macaroni join car procession at Lekki toll gate
Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz and Comedian Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, have joined the car procession at the #EndSARSMemorial protest at Lekki tollgate, Lagos.
This is happening despite the heavy presence of armed police personnel at the tollgate.
That the two celebrities are at the tollgate is no surprise. They were major forces that supported the #EndSARS protest. And have continued to lend their voices to protest against bad governance in Nigeria.
Individuals at the tollgate were in their cars waving Nigerian flags from inside the vehicles and honking the horns and singing.
Activists have informed that they will continue going to and fro the tollgate. This is their own way of protesting against the alleged killing of protesters at the tollgate on October 20, 2020.
During the #EndSARS nationwide protest, Lekki tollgate was the epicentre. Youths had gathered there for many days. However, on October 20, 2020, soldiers stormed the tollgate. Many believe these soldiers shot and killed many peaceful protesters.
This shooting led to the destruction of private and public properties by hoodlums in Lagos.
