Award-winning Nigerian rapper, singer, and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has once again proven his musical prowess as one of Nigeria’s most versatile entertainers with the release of his latest album, ‘The Feast.’

A genre-hopping 12-track project, ‘The Feast‘ showcases a spread of Falz’s ever-evolving artistry, spanning influences from Drill to Juju, Amapiano to Afrobeat, R&B to Hip-Hop.

Speaking in an interview with Guardian Music, Falz said,  “I just let the music take its course. With music, I don’t want to make it a textbook process.”

As the title suggests, the record is a multi-course serving of different sounds and personas. From the activism-tinged ‘Anything Goes featuring Odumodublvck, to the highlife-fused ‘No Less’, and the sensual Amapiano-laced Dance With You, Falz showcases each soundscape with flair and purpose.

Beyond its sound, each track unpacks stories that mirror Falz’s worldview, self-growth, romantic journeys, societal critique, and survival. It’s not just music for enjoyment, it’s music with meaning.

Falz explains, “It is a feast of different genres of music. It reflects different types and styles, and it’s loaded with so many interesting collaborations. But even more so, it’s a feast of all the different versions of Falz.”

He credits his creative success to a more instinctive process. “I’ve gotten to a point where I just allow the music to lead,” he says. “I see what the music feels like, see what the direction feels like, and I just continue going on that route.”
