Nigerian recording artiste, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, says he has never shown support for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, or any other politician.
Falana stated this on Tuesday when he featured in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television.

He encouraged Nigerians, particularly the youths, to get involved in next year’s general elections.

“Just a point of correction. I never openly supported Peter Obi or any politician or party in 2023 or at any point. I have actively encouraged people to go out and vote.
“I clamour for a free and fair democratic process. I haven’t stuck out my neck for any politician for obvious reasons.
“I think it’s very important to strengthen our democracy in this country. We’ve been going in cycles, and it just seems like almost the same crop of people we keep on reshuffling, and at the end of the day, it’s tough to even sit anywhere and vouch for a Nigerian politician in 2026,” he said.
Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and actor. He began his career in secondary school after forming a group called “The School Boys” with a friend, before launching his professional music career in 2009.
