Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Lateef Adedimeji, has advised young people not to be carried away by the glamour of fame, stressing that it does not define a person’s true worth.
The popular actor made this known while speaking at a conference where he shared his thoughts on life, values, and the entertainment industry.

According to Adedimeji, many young people enter the industry with the wrong mindset, chasing fame instead of focusing on their craft. He explained that fame is temporary and can disappear at any time, but what remains is a person’s true identity.
“Fame is fake,” the actor said. “The truth is fame doesn’t define you, identity does. Your values, your purpose. Fame is not real. It can come and it can go.”
He added that many people come into the industry looking for fame first without building their talent. “When the fame comes, what will it meet? What becomes of you? Fame is more like you are here now, everybody hails you. But when you go back home, you are just you and you alone. So, at that time, who are you?” he asked.

Adedimeji urged upcoming entertainers to pay more attention to building themselves, developing their skills, and holding on to values that will sustain them when the public attention is no longer there.
