Former winner of Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, is reportedly hospitalised.
This situation comes after Phyna’s ongoing controversy with Human right activist, VeryDarkMan. It would be recalled that VDM had earlier alleged that Phyna failed to carry him along in pursuing her sister’s case, a claim she later denied.
Phyna has been fighting for justice for her younger sister Ruth who was crushed by Dangote Truck on August 13, 2025.
The crash happened only six days after Ruth’s graduation. The accident left her with severe injuries, leading to the amputation of her left leg. Doctors also warned that her right leg may be at risk if she does not get proper treatment on time.

Although with the recent rumors ongoing, Phyna’s hospitalisation remains unconfirmed, with her management team and close associates are yet to make official statement. With fans posting on their social media page, saying “Pray for Phyna”.
Amanda Chisom wrote on her Facebook page. “Guys, please pray for phyna, she is human, and she’s not doing well right now. The same person fighting tirelessly for Ruth’s survival is now hospitalised herself. Let’s show some compassion and cut her some slack. It’s not easy. Sources say she’s barely eating or resting.”
