A video capturing the moment a woman, believed to be the partner of a male guest, stopped singer Teni from dancing with him during a wedding performance has sparked reactions on social media.
In the viral clip, Teni is seen entertaining guests with her usual energy. While performing and singing the popular lyric, “Bobo no go die unless to ba darugbo,” a famous line from Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, she approached a man who appeared to be enjoying the performance and recording her on his phone.
However, as the singer moved closer to dance with him, a woman quickly stepped in between them, preventing the interaction.
Reacting with humour, the 33-year-old singer turned to the crowd and said, “Help me say I am sorry, ma. The owner of the property has claimed the property.”

The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with many users debating whether the woman’s actions were justified. While some described her as insecure, others argued that she was simply protecting her relationship and setting boundaries.
One user wrote, “You see how everyone agrees she’s marking territory? Flip the script and see these hungry wannabe feminists call the man insecure and controlling.”
Another commented, “The woman dey insecure. The husband don too show her pepper. She needs protect her space.”
A third user remarked, “The wife is so insecure and cringe. She wasn’t even dancing romantically with him. Women don’t like seeing men in the spotlight or enjoying themselves.”
Another added, “Nikini some women self, shey she wan carry her husband go ni? I like as the wife mark territory ASAP.”
