Jennifer Aniston played Rachel Green on the show, a fashion enthusiast who flees her wedding day and has to face life on her own. She says, “I would like to have maybe started a clothing line of my own, and it’s sort of a small franchise. Like a Nili Lotan. And I live in New York City on the Upper East Side.”

Courtney Cox played Monica Geller, a competitive, bossy perfectionist, a chef, and also best friend to Rachel. Cox said, “I always just feel like Monica would be doing something competitively with other mothers and trying to outdo them. Whether it’s the bake sale at school or something. I mean, she’d be so annoying. She’d be at the head of the PTA or something.”

Lisa Kudrow played the beloved Phoebe Buffay. On Phoebe, a masseuse and self-taught musician who you could also describe as eccentric or weird. Kudrow says “Phoebe is living in Connecticut with Mike and their kids, and she’s in charge of the arts program for the school. And just … the advocate for her kids because they’re different like she was.”

Matthew Perry played Chandler Bing, an overly sarcastic IT manager who hated his job. According to him, “Chandler would be a wonderful father. And a wonderful comedy writer.”

Matt LeBlanc played Joey Tribbiani on Friends. Joey was a dim-witted, womanizing, food-loving, struggling actor who was roommates with Chandler. He believed “Joey would have opened a chain of sandwich shops,” he said, “And eaten all the sandwiches.”

David Schwimmer plays Ross Geller, older brother to Monica and on again-off again romantic interest to Rachel. Ross was also a paleontologist, and Schwimmer believes he would be “playin’ with the bones” and “would’ve invested in Joey’s sandwich shop and lost a lot of his savings for his kids.”

The Friends reunion special will air on May 27 on HBO Max.
