Fela Kuti’s grandson, Made marries long-time partner
Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omorinmade Kuti, also known as Made Kuti has wedded his long-time partner Indeoiye Onyenso.
Made Kuti shared a heartfelt video on his Instagram account, capturing the special moments of the occasion on Wednesday.
The video featured him gently placing a crown on his fiancée’s head and sharing kisses and hugs, set to a soothing violin tune.
His caption read,
“Today a love story that began with two characters continues into one. Let the adventure begin.” Meanwhile, his Twitter caption was a little more comical, reading “Thankful we found each other. Excited to spend the rest of my life with you. Today is for wedding food “
The white wedding and traditional wedding ceremonies took place in Ikeja, Lagos state and were private affairs attended by close family members and friends.
Videos from the event circulated on social media, showing the bride, Ideoiye, walking down the aisle accompanied by both her mother and father, who were elegantly dressed in traditional attire.
During the ceremony, Kuti and Ideoiye exchanged their wedding vows with genuine joy and signed their marriage certificate.
The entire event was live streamed on Instagram, allowing well-wishers to share in their happiness.
Kuti had proposed to Ideoiye in a private and romantic gesture in Paris, France in November 2022.
After she accepted his proposal, he shared a picture of his beautiful bride-to-be on his Instagram with a heartwarming caption.
In his words, “There’s a lot of pain in the world every day. But sharing that pain and fighting for a better world with you makes it all worth living for. I can’t wait to see the future we build together. I love you.”
