Speculations of rivalry did not stop Queen of Afropop, Tiwa Savage and Mama Africa, Yemi Alade from featuring in a huge project together – The Lion King Album curated by award-winning singer-songwriter, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.
The album which is set to be released on Friday this week, also features other African acts including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Shatta Wale.
In the spirit of all things new, Yemi Alade took to her Instagram to share a video of her meeting with Beyonce at the movie premiere on Sunday.
She wrote:”I met A Queen,🦁 I mean @beyonce ❤ ,Oops I mean Beyonce as Nala🦁 in the Lion King ; European Movie Premiere 🦁 #THELIONKING #THEGIFT”
Disney’s “The Lion King” live remake features Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Alfre Woodard and John Oliver.
