‘Forget the glamour, I’ve suffered’, Paul Okoye Recounts Struggle to Stardom

Paul Okoye, Nigerian singer better known as Rudeboy, says he suffered a great deal on his journey to stardorm.

Paul, who is a former member of the defunct music group, P-Square took to his Twitter page to share a picture of his luxury home, telling Nigerians not to be carried away with his glamorous lifestyle.

“I don suffer forget the life style and glamour, when I think back with all the struggles and hustle,” he wrote in Pidgin English while sharing pictures of his luxury home.

“How I got to to this stage, without going for holidays and trips till date, just strictly doing what I know how to do best ……. I just thank God for life.”

Paul’s tweet comes nearly a month after Peter Okoye, a singer who happens to be his twin brother, had revealed that he had nothing when he met his wife; Lola Omotayo- Okoye, debunking claims that she was the gold digger.

P-Square’s rift

In 2016, Peter and Paul who both made waves for over a decade in the music industry  parted ways after they had engaged each other in heated arguments both in public and on social media .

Peter Okoye, revealed the cause of the apparently irreconcilable spat between himself and his brother, Paul at the time.

In an interview with The NET magazine, ‎Peter said the current spat, which has all but ended the group’s union, ought to have happened two years ago just before the release of their last studio album, Double Trouble.

“What’s happening now should have happened then,” Peter said.

“Four years ago, I told Jude (P-Square’s elder brother and manager) he needs to step down as our manager, because I didn’t ‎want to disrespect him as a brother. But this is business, (and) we have to structure it. And Jude said to me that there’s a way I (should) talk to him, (he threatened to) slap me. So I kept quiet.”
