Former dancers file Lawsuit against Lizzo over weight shaming, sexual harassment

American popstar and body positivity advocate, Lizzo, is facing a lawsuit from her former backup dancers.

The dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez have accused her of weight shaming and sexual harassment.

The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, alleges that Lizzo created a hostile work environment through sexual, racial, and religious harassment.

These incidents reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2023.

The former backup dancers claim that the singer pressured staff at afterparties into engaging in sexual acts.

One allegation states that Lizzo pressured a dancer to touch a nude performer at a club in Amsterdam.

Additionally, she subjected her dancers to a grueling 12-hour audition after falsely accusing them of being drunk on the job.

Despite being known as a proponent of body positivity and self-love, Lizzo allegedly reprimanded one dancer for recent weight gain. She also fired her for filming a meeting.

In a disturbing incident earlier this year at an Amsterdam club, Lizzo allegedly invited cast members to participate in inappropriate acts.

These acts included touching nude performers, catching dildos launched from performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from performers’ vaginas.

Lizzo is accused of pressuring one of her dancers, Arianna Davis, to touch a performer’s naked breasts and berating her when she declined.

The lawsuit states, “Plaintiffs were aghast with how little regard Lizzo showed for the bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed.”

The singer is also accused of pressuring her security staff to remove their clothes.

As of now, Lizzo has not yet responded to the serious allegations made against her by her former backup dancers.
