Full list of Nigerian entertainers awarded with national honours in 2022

The Nigerian entertainment industry involves many creative and innovative minds who have garnered much accolades for the country worldwide.

In the most recognition of their efforts, some entertainers were awarded with national honors at a ceremony that took place on Tuesday 11, 2022.

The national honours of Nigeria are the highest honours or decoration that a citizen is honored with in service to their country.

Moreso, The recognition was established under the National Honours Act No. 5 of 1964. It is in order to recognise Nigerians who have contributed to the good of the country.

Since 1964, there have been 5,341 recipients of the awards. Here are some of the entertainers that received their awards in 2022,

  1. Teni (MON)
    Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni the entertainer, was named a Member of the Order by President Muhammadu Buhari.
  2. Kwam 1 (MON)
    Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, received the title of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

3.2Baba (MON)
Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, also received the honor of the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) honour.

4.Emeka Rollas Ejezie (MON)
Emeka Rollas Ejezie, actor and President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). He was awarded national honours of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

5.Mosunmola Abudu (Mo Abudu) (OON)
The CEO of EbonyLife Films, Mo Abudu, also received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) honour.

6.Burna Boy (MFR)
Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, also received the title of the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) honour.
