Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late mother as she marks three years since her passing.
The actress took to social media to honor the memory of her mother, describing her as a “selfless queen” whose influence shaped her life and career.
In her emotional message, Akindele expressed gratitude for the sacrifices her mother made, particularly in ensuring she and her siblings received the best education.
She added that her mother instilled in them the importance of self-belief and resilience, lessons that continue to guide her to this day.
“My darling Mother, today marks three years since you left us. Mummy, you were a selfless queen who gave us the best education, taught us to believe in ourselves, and raised strong children.
“Your legacy lives on in me. May your kind soul continue to rest in peace. We love you,” Akindele wrote.
