Nigerian Afrogospel singer Gaise Baba is celebrating his 40th birthday, marking the year with a reflective message about faith, purpose and the lessons that have shaped his life.
“This is 40! A Landmark Chapter, accompanied by a Landmark Album,” he wrote, pairing the message with elegant photos and the hashtag #GodisCooking.
The announcement signals that a major new body of work is on the way, though specific release details have not yet been fully outlined by the artist.

Born Akinade Ibuoye on August 5, 1986, in Ile-Ife, Gaise Baba has carved a unique space in Nigerian music by blending gospel themes with Afrobeats rhythms.
An Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University with further training in Music Business from Berklee College of Music, he is widely regarded as more than a recording artist.
He founded the LightOut initiative, which uses concerts and creative sessions to engage secondary school students on values, personal development, and social issues. He also curates the ARAMANDA festival and hosts the Black Flame podcast.
His 2025 collaboration “No Turning Back II” with Lawrence Oyor brought wider international attention, topping charts in Nigeria and appearing on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats ranking.
