Gbenga Adeyinka Postpones Laffmattazz@10 Over Coronavirus

Award winning comedian and actor,  Gbenga Adeyinka, has announced the postponement of the 2020 edition of his comedy show, Laffmattazz@10. This is as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.  

Adeyinka announced this in a statement posted on his Twitter handle  on Tuesday. According to him, he believes halting the show is necessary for the common good of all.

“In view of the spread of the coronavirus disease and the overriding desire to protect my audience and fans, I am therefore compelled to postpone the Laffmattazz at 10 mega Concert billed to hold at Jogor Centre in Ibadan on Easter Sunday and all other activities lined up to celebrate our tenth anniversary.”

The compere continued, “despite all the finances and energy that have been committed, I therefore cannot in good conscience go ahead with the event as I will never forgive myself if corona cases spiral after our event that always has, at least, an attendance of three thousand people annually.”

Gbenga Adeyinka however, urged is fans to remain expectant, as the show will be back after the deadly disease is adequately contained.

He further advised everyone to be safe and observe all health broadcasts by the government and all qualified health and safety professional
