Glamour Girls: Abimbola Craig Unveiled as Producer

Play Network Studios has enlisted Skinny Girl in Transit star, Abimbola Craig to produce its forthcoming remake of the 1994 classic, Glamour Girls.

This was revealed in a poster shared on the company’s official Instagram page.

Charles Okpaleke, the chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Play Networks, confirmed the news on his social media page; while announcing that the film will premiere in cinemas in December.

He wrote: “Three generations of Nollywood actresses in one movie. With a female producer, female director and a female writer! It’s a woman’s world you know! See you in cinemas this December!!”

The original Glamour Girls tells the story of a village girl whose friend introduces her to high-end prostitution in Lagos. The film featured Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Zack Orji, Ernest Obi, Ngozi Ezeonu, Gloria Anozie Young, Pat Attah, Sandra Achums, Sola Fosudo, Jennifer Okere, Barbara Odoh, Ngozi Ikpelu, and Raymond Johnson.
