Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, the former chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee and newly sworn-in national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has responded to his critics who have been mocking his spoken English.

In a viral video that has been making the rounds on social media, MC Oluomo addressed his detractors, questioning what educated individuals have achieved with their knowledge.

With a confident tone, MC Oluomo pointed out that despite the criticism, he has used his wealth to educate his children, who are currently abroad. He specifically mentioned that his son, often referred to as Kudus, is well-educated, implying that his children are a testament to his success.

MC Oluomo proudly stated that all his children abroad are citizens of various nations, including the United Kingdom and the United States, highlighting his ability to provide them with opportunities that many can only dream of.

In his words: “I stayed there and worked hard, I wasn’t educated. See, they said I said Kundus, is my son, not Kundus? You are educated; what have you done? They should go and compete with my children. I raised my children in wealth. My children are citizens of America, citizens of the UK. I worked hard to get to that level. Kundus, kudos, what’s the difference? What do you want to hear? English is not my mother tongue, Yoruba is.”

The NURTW president’s comments come after his son, King West, frequently showcases his father on social media, responding to critics and defending his father’s reputation. King West previously clapped back at those mocking his father after MC Oluomo emerged as the national president of NURTW.
