Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has shared an emotional tribute to late colleague Temitope Osoba, revealing that God prompted her to call and pray with the actress just days before her passing.
News of Osoba’s death emerged on Wednesday, throwing the Nigerian film industry into mourning. As of the time of filing this report, the cause of her death has not been officially disclosed.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Jinad recounted how she felt divinely led to reach out to Osoba. According to her, the two spoke on the phone for about eight minutes, during which they prayed together.

“I called you recently because God led me to pray for you, Tope Osoba, and we prayed over the phone for about 8 minutes. I still can’t believe this. Who am I to question God’s will?” she wrote.

Jinad said she found comfort in knowing she obeyed the prompting before Osoba’s death.
“I am grateful I obeyed God’s leading and did what He asked me to do for you before you left this world,” she added, while praying for God to forgive Osoba’s sins and grant her eternal rest.
Reflecting on the loss, Jinad urged people to be intentional about checking on friends and loved ones, noting that no one truly knows what others may be facing or when it could be the last opportunity to reach out.
