Veteran Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun remembers late daughter while speaking on his upcoming projects which his late daughter Zennat Balogun played a major role in.

The actor while speaking with Seun Oloketuyi on Nollywood on Radio, disclosed that he’s currently working on two projects at the moment, one from the Nigeria Police Force and second, has his late daughter on it. In his words: “This two hmm I have to say it.. my daughter died on Sunday we finished production on Friday and she was on the set. She played lead role in both which is ‘Aura For Aura’ and ‘Made For A Day’, those are the projects I have at hand now”

The interviewer gave reasons for not wanting to talk about the actors’ late daughter to avoid stirring emotional moments but Balogun replied saying “Capital God gives and takes… Capital God gave me and he took away, I still have some, I wish I pray he doesn’t take.. what about those the doesn’t give at all. What about family that lost in one day. So I will keep praising and telling him father lord, you are the pathfinder, you are the way, you are the light, you are the man you directs, this is your making I take it in good faith.”

Recall that the actor announced the passing of his daughter, Zeenat Balogun. The actor shared the heartbreaking news on his verified Instagram account on October 5, 2024, posting a solemn image of a candlelight surrounded by flowers, accompanied by heartbroken emojis.

Saheed Balogun’s former wife, Fathia Williams and colleague, Ronke Ojo, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi Oke, confirmed the news via their Instagram accounts. Fathia wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” a phrase signifying submission to God’s will, while Ronke Ojo captioned a burning candle photo, “No words can ease the pain of losing someone so precious. My heart goes out to you, @saidibalogun, during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength in the love and support surrounding you.”
