Gospel Singer, Mercy Chinwo Condemns Viral Silhouette Challenge

Popular Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has condemned the viral x-rated silhouette challenge. 

The challenge features women strip dancing to Doja Cat‘s 2019 song, Streets under red lights permitting viewers to see the silhouettes of their naked bodied. Some men, especially young men, are going absolutely nuts over it and some have joined the seductive challenge, while others featured their partners.

Nigerian reality star, Mercy Eke also joined the fray; and posted a video of her challenge on her social media pages.

But in a post on Instagram, Mercy Chinwo urged women to carry themselves with dignity and not follow every trend online like the Silhouette challenge.

She also asked women to desist from imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around them.

“Dear women, you don’t have to follow every trend.  Carry thyself with dignity, know your worth.. this is why you are different,” she wrote.

“Let your light so shine before men so that they may see your good works (Lifestyle, character) and glorify your father in heaven.. #ISTANDAGAINSTSILHOUTTECHALLENGE.”
