‘GoT’ Couple Kit Harington and Rose Leslie Welcome First Child
Game Of Thrones couple Rose Leslie and Kit Harington are officially parents for the first time after the birth of their child.
Rose and Kit, 33, are ‘very, very happy’ after welcoming a son together according to their representative, who confirmed the birth on Tuesday. The married couple first revealed the arrival of their son by stepping out with the little one in London earlier in the day.
In pictures obtained by Page Six, a smiling Kit holds his wife’s hand while she cradles their newborn in a baby carrier on her chest. They had largely stayed out of the public eye since announcing that Rose was pregnant in September last year.
Rose showcased her blossoming baby bump for the first time in a stunning black-and-white picture from the shoot for Make magazine. While Rose showed off her bump during the shoot, she did not comment on her pregnancy during accompanying interview with the publication.
Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met on the set of hit TV show Game of Thrones, where they played on-screen star-crossed lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte.
In a 2016 interview, Harington said the two fell in love in real life while filming the show’s second season in Iceland. He said, “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s very easy to fall in love.”
The couple announced their engagement in September 2017 and did so the old-fashioned way: with an announcement in The Times of London. The wedding took place in 2018 and many of the couple’s Game of Thrones co-stars were in attendance including Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams, along with other celebrities like Malin Akerman.
